HFPD Holds Movie Night    On Saturday July 5, 2008 HFPD held a movie night at Hebron Station 1.  This is in cooperation with the Boone County Parks Department's movie nights throughout the county.  The movie shown was "Evan Almighty" and a fire safety presentation was presented to the children in attendance.


HFPD Holds St. Baldrick's Event    On Saturday June 28, 2008 at Hebron Station 1 several HFPD and Erlanger Fire Department employees, including the chiefs of both departments, got their heads shaved for a good cause.  St. Baldrick's is a foundation that raises awareness and funds to cure kid's cancer.  24 employees got their heads shaved and raised over $5200.00.  Thanks to all that participated and donated for a successful event.  Also thanks to Kenny's Barber Shop for providing the barber.


Burn Ban Now In Effect    The Commonwealth of Kentucky Division of Air Quality has enacted a burn ban that became effective on May 1, 2008 and runs until September 30, 2008 for all of Northern Kentucky.  If you would like to file a complaint or would like more information on open burning you can call 1-888-BURN-LAW or e-mail burnlaw@ky.gov.

Saturday, July 12, 2008 Motorcycle Accident  Members of A shift responded to the intersection of Bullittsville and Petersburg roads for a reported motorcycle accident.  Upon arrival units found a motorcycle that had hit a guardrail with the rider in a field.  The rider was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital by AirCare.  E-351, E-352 and S-364 all responded to this incident.


Friday, July 11, 2008 Fall  Members of C shift responded to Cougar Path at the Boone County Vocational School for a person that fell off of a roof.  Upon arrival units found a roofing worker had fallen about 30' off of a roof onto the concrete below.  The worker was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital by ambulance.  S-364, E-351 and C-377 all responded to this incident.


Wednesday, July 2, 2008 Motorcycle Accident   Members of C shift responded to Conrad Road for a reported motorcycle accident with injuries.  Upon arrival units found a vehicle versus motorcycle accident.  The motorcycle rider was injured and transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital by AirCare.  E-351, S-364, and Burlington E-701 all responded to this incident.


Monday, June 16, 2008 Near Drowning   Members of B shift responded to Jonathan Drive for a reported near drowning.  Upon arrival units found a two year old that had fallen into a pool.  The child was out of the pool and breathing when units arrived.  The parents of the child performed CPR before our arrival and the child is now doing fine.  E-351, S-364, and C-377 all responded to this incident.


Tuesday, June 3, 2008 Stove Fire   Members of A shift responded to Downey Drive for a reported stove fire.  Upon arrival units found heavy smoke throughout the apartment.  The fire was found to have been extinguished by the residential sprinkler system.  Crews overhauled and ventilated the apartment.  E-352, E-351, L-360, S-364, C-377 and Point Pleasant L-1360 all responded to this incident.


Tuesday, June 3. 2008 Lightning Strike   Members of A shift responded to Britt Drive for a reported house struck by lightning.  Upon arrival units found a house with some minor burn marks, signifying a lightning strike but no fire.  Units checked the entire house with nothing further found.  E-352, S-364, L-360, E-351, C-375 and Point Pleasant L-1360 all responded to this incident.


Tuesday, June 3. 2008 Auto Accident   Members of A shift responded to Youell Road for a reported tractor trailer overturned.  Upon arrival units found a dump truck that had overturned with the driver still trapped inside the cab.  The driver was quickly extricated and transported to the hospital with minor injuries.  S-364 and R-374 both responded to this incident.


Thursday, May 22, 2008 Auto Accident   Members of C shift responded to WB I-275 near the 5 mile marker for a reported accident with injuries.  Upon arrival units found a semi about 30 feet off of the roadway and leaking diesel fuel.  The driver of the truck was not injured.  The fuel leak was contained.  E-352, R-374, S-365, C-376 and U-367 all responded to this incident.
