Members of A-Shift were dispatched to Rivermeade Drive for a possible structure fire from a house struck by lightning. Upon arrival units found the attic of the house fully involved in fire. Crews stretched 2-1/2″ lines and used the deck gun the quickly knock the fire down. L-360 was set-up and the ladder pipe was used to finish extinguishment. The house did suffer heavy damage but four dogs were saved from the fire. The homeowners were not home at the time of the fires and no injuries occurred. E-351, E-352, L-360, S-364, C-375, Burlington E-701 and Petersburg E-1201 all responded to this incident.
