Hebron, Ky – In connection with Giving Tuesday, Hebron Fire Protection District is announcing a Blood and Convalescent Plasma drive on Wednesday, December 23rd with Hoxworth Blood Center. These drives will be taking place in concurrently at Hebron Fire Protection District’s Station 1 at 3120 North Bend Road. The two donation options will be operating as their own individual drives, due to specific and more restrictive requirements for Convalescent Plasma donations.
Convalescent Plasma contains antibodies that can be used for the treatment of individuals infected with COVID-19, which makes this a unique donation opportunity for individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 and wish to help others fighting the virus. To donate Convalescent Plasma, you must have recovered from a documented infection of COVID-19 and have been symptom free for at least 14 days. We will only have eight time slots for this donation on December 23rd. For more information on this specific donation or to sign-up, click here or view the attached flyer.
Individuals wishing to donate blood, can participating by signing up for a time slot on the donation bus, which will be present specifically for blood donations. If you are willing to give blood, please see the flyer below or click here to register for an appointment. Making an appointment helps ensure we maintain the best social distancing practices. Anyone donating blood or Convalescent Plasma must wear a mask in accordance with current Healthy At Work Guidelines.
