EMS Training
On-Shift/Internal EMS Training
Each month, the Hebron Fire Protection District offers a minimum of 2.5 hours of EMS training to each of their personnel. The training topics vary from month to month and include classroom lectures, simulation scenarios, and hands-on review of the protocols. All personnel are provided with more than enough hours needed to recertify their state and national licensures.
The training schedule and all EMS training is completed by the Captain of EMS - Brandon Schoborg.

Annual EMS Refreshers
Each year, the Hebron Fire Protection District offers a refresher course for EMTs and Paramedics. Historically, these have been separate refreshers but as of 2023, the refreshers are being combined. The combining of refreshers will allow the program to become more sustainable and will also allow our agency to focus on hosting some of the best EMS speakers in the industry!

The refresher is offered both in-person and virtually. Several hundred students typically complete the refresher - we're happy this each year not only neighboring agencies in northern Kentucky but agencies as far away as Wisconsin!

Registration for the annual EMS refreshers will be open in early October of each year.

2023 Annual EMS Refresher Dates:
Tuesday, November 28, 2023 (EMTs must attend entire day)*
Tuesday, December 5, 2023 (EMTs must attend morning session only)*
Tuesday, December 12, 2023
Tuesday, December 19, 2023

EMTs will have a combination of online/distributive education and in-person/live virtual instruction (see specific required days above).

Paramedics must attend all four days listed above in order to gain credit for the refresher course.

Firefighter/Paramedic Rick Arens is responsible for managing the annual EMS refreshers. For additional information, please contact him at rarens@hebronfire.org
